Meet Kim

Kim Boone is the owner and lead Interior Designer of  Kim’s Designs and Decor. She has worked in the home decor and design field for over 12 years.

From the Designer

My career began as a hair stylist where I owned and operated a salon for 10 years. After studying Interior Design I expanded my love for colors and textures to the field of home decor and design. Since 1997, I have worked with homeowners, builders and trade partners to create beautiful home and office spaces according to the client’s aesthetic desires and need for functionality.

In addition to my formal education and on-the-job experience, I attend furniture and decor markets in Dallas and Las Vegas several times per year to keep up with the latest trends, styles and designs. During my career, I have worked for residential and commercial clients in Dallas, TX., throughout central Louisiana as far North as Shreveport and South to New Orleans, Lafayette, La. and now the Greater Houston area.

I love the fact that each client’s home is unique with personal touches or starting from scratch. I enjoy seeing the wonderful treasures that clients have collected over the years and finding new ways to incorporate them throughout the home.

“Making a House a Home” can be overwhelming for many clients. My job is to make that process Painless!! I feel very blessed to be able to work with amazing people and do a job that I love everyday!!
